Meet the Head of School
Alexandria Spry
HEAD OF SCHOOL
Alexandria Spry, a South Carolina native, grew up in a loving Christian home that shaped her values around good character and education. After high school, she headed to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to dive into further education, earning her degree in Elementary Education from Winston-Salem State University. Post-graduation, Mrs. Spry taught upper elementary and delved into leadership roles that fueled her passion for supporting teachers and scholars.
Her educational journey continued as she pursued a master’s degree in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University, propelling her into a leadership position as an Instructional Facilitator. Seeking new horizons, she embraced the sunny vibes of Jacksonville, FL, serving as an Assistant School Leader and later becoming a founding Dean of Students and Principal.
In 2023, Mrs. Spry returned to her South Carolina roots, founding Ashley River Classical Academy as the Head of the School.
She takes pride in building authentic relationships with scholars and teachers, driven by mutual respect, trust, and understanding. Education is Mrs. Spry’s passion, and she’s excited to equip scholars with the tools to navigate the world, expand their knowledge, and nurture their souls. Beyond her educational pursuits, she finds joy in visiting family and friends in the Carolinas and embracing new experiences.
