Summer Reading

Recommended Summer Reading

Summer Break is primarily a time for rest, play, and spending time with friends and family. Our recommendations for summer reading, then, should not be taken as a “to do” list in which each book must be read in order before the beginning of the school year. Rather, reading is an excellent leisure time activity and this list is intended as general guidance on the sort of thing young people ought to be reading at each age. It is our hope that these books will delight and inspire our students during the summer. We also hope that they will provide an opportunity for families to enjoy time reading together.
